Requires long curing time – weather, and skilled applicators needed to be take into consideration as well when applying epoxy coating. Some applications may need 2 layers or more, and depending on the layers of thickness applied may increase the time needed for curing.  

 

Experienced Applicator – Qualified and experienced applicators and proper tools are necessary in applying epoxy coating. Applied wrongly or using wrong methods may cause failures such as delamination or air bubbles. Delamination is usually due to poor preparation of the substrate while air bubbles are caused by heat traps in the coating without using proper tools to release these bubbles during application.
